As we all know, air-conditioning systems are designed to eject force-cooled air into a room in order to reduce and maintain its temperature. However, unfortunately the standard unit doesn’t do this intelligently.
Such systems are usually turned off using a thermostat or simple programmer, with the compressor and fan running until the thermostat or target temperature is reached. But did that energy-consuming compressor actually need to be running the entire time?

The ACES Solution
So how do we combat this inefficiency? ACES addresses the problem of thermodynamic saturation (TS) head-on using smart temperature sensing and control algorithms to detect the exact point at which TS is reached. When this point is achieved, it simply switches the compressor off.
Whilst this is happening, the action of the fan is unaffected – it continues to run, capitalising on the latent cooling effect left in the compressor’s coils. The fan draws a negligible amount of energy, so this minimally impacts the device’s energy profile.
If the compressor is needed again, ACES instantaneously commands the air-con to turn it on again. The result is that the energy-draining compressor only works when it’s needed, but the air-con performance remains at an optimum.
As such your energy consumption can be reduced by as much as 35% for the same – or better – results, as reduced maintenance.
The Incredible Potential of ACES

As the graph illustrates, introducing ACES into an air-con unit modulates the supply of air into the space. Without ever breaching the temperature preset using the thermostat or programmer, the system switches the compressor on and off as required to ensure energy optimisation.
As a result, we see a considerable period of time where the air con remains active without drawing excessive amounts of energy from your supplier. This retrofit solution is an intuitive and effective way to maximise the function of your air conditioning fixtures.
ACES can be applied in a wide range of industries. However, we have found the most impressive results in companies such as convenience stores and fast food chains, where cool air is necessary and air-con costs can consequently be very high.
